Sparda
Also known as the Legendary Dark Knight, Sparda is a demon who woke up to justice and waged war against the Underworld roughly 2,000 years ago, for the sake of the human race. He sealed the entrance to the underworld that the humans had created with the Temen-Ni-Gru, and went on to live quietly on Earth, where he later met the human woman who would bear his twin sons, Eva.
Sparda is an unlockable playable character in all 4 games of the series. He is however never part of the main storyline of the games except as a ghost of his sons' past. The memory of his treason is still alive and well in the Underworld, and the wound it left behind it is still gaping... Sparda is also featured briefly in the first volume of the defunct Dreamwave Devil May Cry comic.
Fanlisting
